[On the Road] [NC Songwriter's Co-op] [Contact Me]

Hello. I'm Dwight Sullivan. Welcome to my home page. I can almost hear you say: "Hey, who's that old buzzard with the sweet lookin' guitar?" Well, I'm a singer/songwriter who came to the songwriter part fairly late: 2001 to be precise. I got here thanks to the encouragement of a fantastic performer, songwriter and great lady named Jamie Anderson.

When people ask me about my music, I never have a really good answer. It's a mix of Traditional, Folk, Celtic, Country, even a sprinkling of Popular and Show Tunes, all done in an authoritative baritone voice. For more information than that, you might just have to listen to some of the previews on my MusicBlaster and figure it out for yourself.

I hope you like what you hear. If you do, watch this site. I've just started getting my songs recorded. There will be at least four collections of songs here to listen to. In addition, I'll keep you posted on where I'll be appearing live, so you can meet the old buzzard in the flesh. You can also contact me by email.

While you're here, follow the link to the North Carolina Songwriter's Co-op and learn about some of my partners-in-rhyme. They are a talented lot, my tunesmith friends. You're gonna find a lot to like there.

US 64: Every Memorial Day in Washington D.C., there is a rally called Rolling Thunder. Motorcyclists from all over the nation gather to bring visibility to the concerns of our POWs, MIAs and Veterans. In 2007, an estimated 400,000 motorcycles gathered in the nation's capital for the 20th annual rally. I wrote this song as a tribute to Rolling Thunder, the people who make it happen, and especially the people who earned the honor in service to our country.
