U. S. 64
This is a tribute to the annual Rolling Thunder Rally.
Every Memorial Day in Washington D.C., motorcyclists from all over the nation gather on behalf of our POWs, MIAs and Veterans.
This was recorded at Nightsound studios in two versions: The first is with the band: Lance Ashley on organ, Ted Hardin on lead guitar, Dave Krusch on drums, Casey Toll on bass and Chris Wimberly on rhythm guitar. The second is with a lone acoustic guitar.

Drop Top Delta 88

A song about a 1975 Classic. My band: Floyd on bass, Waylon on the Telecaster, and Ray-Bob on drums joined me for this session.

Kokopelli
Here's a story about a young fellow who invokes the aid of that mythical southwestern flute player, the impish Kokopelli, to win over his heart's desire, the lovely Manalita. That strange beat is because the song is written in 5/4 time.

Places To Go, Things To Do

Old Shoes Blues
In 12-bar blues, this song describes how a fellow feels when he's discarded "like an old pair of shoes".

Practicing
One evening at a concert by friend and very fine songwriter, Tracy Feldman, I was watching him play his guitar. I was amazed by his lightning-fast hands and long fingers. The next morning, at the breakfast table, this song just flowed out.

The Zamboni Man Rag
A song about paths not taken, and a modern cultural icon.

Fare Thee Well
People who work together form a particular kind of relationship. When it's time to say goodbye, it calls for a particular kind of song.
